Gambia Aquatics successfully participated in the 37th edition of the Traversée Dakar-Gorée (Open Water), held on Sunday, 27 September 2026, in Dakar, Senegal.
The Gambia was represented by nine swimmers, comprising eight males and one female. The team featured four junior and five senior athletes, reflecting Gambia Aquatics' continued efforts to provide competitive opportunities for both developing and experienced swimmers.
The competition featured two distances. Jegan Y. Jobe competed in the challenging 5.2 km race, while the other eight Gambian swimmers competed in the 4.5 km race from Dakar to Gorée Island.
