Gambia Aquatics proudly celebrates the latest achievements of national swimmer Ousman Jobe, who set two new national records at the Championnat Région Sud Juniors/Séniors (50m), held from 4 to 6 July 2025 in Martigues, France.
Competing against top-level swimmers in the region, Ousman delivered standout performances on both competition days. On Saturday, 5 July, he set a new national record in the 50m Butterfly, clocking 28.22 seconds and breaking a 12-year-old record. The following day, Sunday, 6 July, he followed up with another national record in the 50m Freestyle, finishing in 26.70 seconds.
These results mark a major milestone in Ousman’s swimming career and reflect the rapid pace of his development on the international scene. Breaking a long-standing national record in the 50m butterfly highlights his growing technical precision and race maturity.
Ousman’s performance in Martigues adds to what has already been a remarkable season, further raising the standard for Gambian swimming and inspiring the next generation of athletes.
